AMERICAN BLUES - Do Their Thing - UNI Records 73044 - Stereo - 1969
The second album from Texas legends AMERICAN BLUES, recorded in August through November of 1968 and released in 1969 and given the very 1969-ish title of "Do Their Thing". Featuring future ZZ Top-ers Frank Beard and Dusty Hill, the AMERICAN BLUES were, along with the 13th Floor Elevators and the Moving Sidewalks, one of the most popular and well known Texas bands during the late sixties. Shortly after this album was released, Beard and Hill left AMERICAN BLUES to team up with madman Billy Gibbons to form the lucrative money machine ZZ TOP.
This is an album of late 60's hard rock/psych with a touch of late 60's obligatory blues. Features these tunes:

The back cover has some pretty "far-out" late 60's descriptions of each song.
The cover is VG/VG- (VERY conservatively graded), it has some very light wear on the edges and corners, a little bit of ring wear on the back cover, and what may be a cut-out hole drilled into the bottom left front cover, but it doesn't go all the way through to the back. Overall, it's very sturdy and in pretty nice condition for a 40 year old Lp cover.
The record is VG+/VG. It is in really nice shape (again, I'm being very conservative here...a lot of folks would look at this and say mint- out of convenience). There is still a great sheen in the vinyl, but there is also signs on the vinyl of having been stored in a dusty (no band reference intended) sleeve for many years. This isn't really noticeable when you play it though...I listened to it REALLY LOUD with headphones and the vinyl is really clean with only an occasional light pop. The mix is loud and clear.
Here's a chance to pick up a rare and collectible Texas classic LP at a reasonable price.
