AMERICAN BLUES-DO THEIR THING-ORIG 1968 UNI PSYCH ROCK LP (ZZ TOP)

This is a  super rare original U S  stereo pressing of American Blues, Do Their Thing, released by UNI Records in 1969. This LP features Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, later members of ZZ Top. This is quite rare as near mint copies have a book value of $100.

As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.

Visually the LP is in very good plus condition with some light marks on Side 1 that cannot be felt and just a very light scuff or so on Side 2. The LP plays very nicely with just a few ticks heard on the first two cuts on Side 1 and nothing thereafter. Side 2 plays very nicely. Note that the LP was tested several weeks prior to listing and cleaned by hand and not machine. The LP should be cleaned again before play. The cover is in very good  condition. The  corners on cover all show slight wear. The seams and spine relatively strong with some rub wear/loss of color visible but no splits, with the product information clearly readable on spine.  The  front cover is very clean with vibrant cover although there is a cut out hole visible at the top corner near the mouth. There is some wear showing on the back cover. The cover display a wavy wear at the mouth but I do not see any water damage. There are few creases visible on the front cover.

The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned. Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions.
