Description
Returning from the vinyl bunker, which houses my personal collection of vinyl records purchased new during the 1960s and 1970s, I am clutching an extremely fine copy of "DANCE OF THE LEMMINGS" performed by AMON DUUL 2. This original UK first pressing was released during 1971 on UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS label UAD 6003/4 with the matrixes Disc. 1 A-1/B1, Disc 2 A-2/B-1
CONDITION: Both discs play through from beginning to end with no problems at all, when examined beneath a strong light source there are a few very feint surface marks but none of these have any audible impact on the superb sound quality experienced during audio playback. All labels are very clean and tidy with simply a few spindle lines visible. The two plain white, made in GREAT BRITAIN, paper inner sleeves are in great shape with no splits or tears. The laminated gatefold cover has the slightest sign of ring wear only, all edges are crisp and sharp, being 99% free from any scuffing. To the top right hand corners of the front and rear there are half inch diameter circular marks where an index label has been removed, the laminate is undamaged. Since new this record has been stored upright and has benefited from being protected by a heavy duty clear plastic outer sleeve.
All in all a very respectable example of this rare collectable album, I have no hesitation in rating both the vinyl and packaging EXCELLENT+ I have used the Record Collectors grading system.
