AMON DUUL - PSYCHEDELIC UNDERGROUND vinyl LP on German Metronome, cat. no. ST-MLP-15 332

First album released by the commune AD in 1969. Normally seen with the light blue/dark blue Metronome labels, this copy is pressed with black/gold Metronome labels which I've never seen before. I've been in touch with a serious worldwide collector/dealer about this & no one he's got in touch with knows anything about a copy on this label. Anyway, as far as I'm aware this is a totally genuine German 1969 original with all proper info on the labels & cover (see photos) & has machine stamped matrixes - 802190-A0 & 802910-B0.

The beautiful gatefold is laminated on the front & spine to 1/2 cm on the rear gatefold, the rest of which is matt. There are a few slight indentations on the front of the cover but only really noticeable if you hold it up to the light & not bad at all really.

Vinyl looks excellent, no visible bad marks at all, just some hairlines & no spindle marks. However, plays with some light surface noise & the odd minor crackle here & there, but pressings of this were never great plus the music is of course high energy, aggressive rock with over the top percusssion, raw grating guitars & wailing vocals with little or no production thus making it sound fuzzed up.

Never seen one like this for sale before.
