COVER CONDITION : VG- photomontage front very nice, top seam & spine fully split, 3" bottom seam split, some wear rear.

VINYL CONDITION : EX barely played, clean gloss, few minor surface scuffs, clean labels.

NOTES : original 1958 pressing. another wonderful & rare recording by the highly important french author, recorded & released by legendary sound artist couple LOUIS & BEBE BARRON, at their SOUND PORTRAITS recording studio in greenwich village, NY. the barron's were highly significant as pioneers of electronic music & experimental recording techniques, most widely known for their film score to 'FORBIDDEN PLANET' in 1956, the first entirely electronic film score ever made. throughout the late 1940s & 1950s the barron's were known to invite artists into their studio for recording sessions, and they produced spoken recording with ANAIS NIN, HENRY MILLER, TENNESSEE WILLIAMS, and ALDUS HUXLEY as well as recording much of MOONDOG's early output… i believe this is the same 1949 recording issued earlier on the same label under the title 'FOLIO II'. cover is a stunning one-of-a-kind photomontage print by artist VAL TELBERG, made as a numbered edition of only 100 copies. this is copy #64 of 100. cover is also SIGNED at the bottom edge by both ANAIS NIN and VAL TELBERG. a lovely & historic artifact.
