COVER CONDITION : VG- most of the front still fairly nice but significant water damage bottom inch, 3" top seam split, spine fully split.

VINYL CONDITION : EX probably unplayed but some minor surface scuffing from storage, clean labels.

NOTES : original 1948 pressing. another rare early recording by the highly important french author, recorded & released by legendary sound artist couple LOUIS & BEBE BARRON, at their SOUND PORTRAITS recording studio in greenwich village, NY. the barron's were highly significant as pioneers of electronic music & experimental recording techniques, most widely known for their film score to 'FORBIDDEN PLANET' in 1956, the first entirely electronic film score ever made. throughout the late 1940s & 1950s the barron's were known to invite artists into their studio for recording sessions, and they produced spoken recording with ANAIS NIN, HENRY MILLER, TENNESSEE WILLIAMS, and ALDUS HUXLEY as well as recording much of MOONDOG's early output… beautiful cover art by nin's husband, artist IAN HUGO. this is a different version of the same art used early on the double 78 set, also listed.
