ITEM: ANCIENT GREASE Women & Children First RARE UK MERCURY HEAVY PROG MONSTER VERTIGO

LABEL/MATRIX: UK 1st Press Mercury 6338 033 with VERTIGO VO price code on rear.

Apparently meant to be released on the fledgling Vertigo imprint but ended up coming out on the parent Mercury label.

I LISTED THIS VERY BRIEFLY LAST WEEK UNTIL I REALISED IT JUMPED RIGHT AT THE START OF SIDE 2. SO NOW RELISTED CHEAP..

CONDITION:

SIDE ONE Vinyl has nice sheen and looks very nice in daylight but under bright bulb surface scuffing is evident. Plays fine with minor crackle VG+, looks a nice EX in normal light.

SIDE TWO Has some obvious visible hairlines and but nothing looks heavy really and does retain gloss. Under bulb its obvious its been played pretty often. Unfortunately jumps right at the start of SIDE TWO, then plays very well with some minor clicks/crackle occasionally but pretty well really AS THERE ARE NO FEELABLE MARKS. Looks VG but theres the jump so will have to grade SIDE 2 Fair.

SLEEVE has a bit of seam wear that has been photographed close up for you to see top, right. Not really visible from front or rear. But lets go VG+ for the sleeve.

NOTES/ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Musically a Heavy Prog LP with one slower more Psychy tune. Obviously very rare on UK original Mercury issue. Last copy listed had an unrealistic £370 odd pound Buy It Now price but I think that reflected more the frequency that this shows up on UK issue. Probably better conditon than this one but even so...!
