On this tape Andreas Dorau presents his personal selection from the history of electronic music which shows some very good taste - including minimal from Cologne (early Kompakt stuff, I think) but also Morgan Fischer's Hybrid Kids, White Noise and I think Lio.
It's not a proper mix by DJ Culture standards but at least it's pretty charming Dorau style ...
The tape was compiled by A.D. and Tommi Eckart (who'd been in NDW cassette scene outfits such as Der Kohleklau, Gorilla Aktiv (which both had been reissued on WSDP / Was Soll Das Platten) and Die Alternativen Arschlöcher. Die Alternativen Arschlöcher backed Dorau live at some dates in 1981/82; later Eckart worked regularly with Dorau on his 1990ies albums such as "Neu", "70 Minuten Musik Ungeklärter Herkunft", "Ich bin der eine von uns beiden" and "Ärger mit der Unsterblichkeit".
Eckart later became 2raumwohnung (together with Inga Humpe of Neonbabies fame).
Since the tape has regular cover artwork I guess it must have been sold on Dorau shows' ...
