ANDRES SEGOVIA: GOLDEN JUBILEE- Decca Gold Label DXJ 148 Box set 3 LP NM
Offered is, Decca Gold Label Records Presents: Segovia, Golden Jubilee.
This boxed set is numbered DXJ 148, and the 3 discs are sequentially numbered DL 9995, 96, 97.
This set is a stand-out in classical guitar recording history. Wikipedia says:
"Segovia won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (without orchestra) at the Grammy Awards of 1959 for the Golden Jubilee album."
The exceptional condition of this set is as follows:
THE VINYL: NM : Each one of the discs is glossy and seldom played. There is a short, light mark at the end of side 5.
THE BOX SET COVER: EX+ : superbly stored over these decades. Bright red and gold colours; no paper loss; the seams are intact & the corners sharp. There is some ink writing at the top of the front & back cover, & a minor mark on the back cover. The Libretto (brochure) is NM with great photo of Andres. The original inner sleeves are included.
Hard to find a copy in better condition of this award-winning release.
