One of the rarest Prog/Psyche singles ever released.
The regular release of this 7" single is valued at £120 in the 2012 Record Collector Rare Record Guide, so I guess this 'demo' is probably worth close to £200.
ANDREW BOWN first came to prominence as a member of THE HERD, along with PETER FRAMPTON. After The Herd dissolved, Bown spent two years with JUDAS JUMP. He played bass for Frampton in the 1970s and started playing keyboards for STATUS QUO in 1973 as a session musician, first appearing on their "Hello" album in that year. Bown joined Status Quo as a full member in 1976. This excessively rare Demo version of this single was the theme tune to the 1970 Thames TV programme Ace Of Wands.

Vinyl: Play tested. Side A - a little crackle and a couple of pops at the very beginning for around 8 seconds and at the end for 3 or 4 seconds but the rest plays superbly. Rates as Near Excellent. Side B has some light intermittent crackle that is not very intrusive and rates as VG+.
Cover: Green Parlophone sleeve is Near Excellent.
Labels: Excellent+. No writings, doodles or stickers. "Demonstration Record - Not For Sale" text and large white 'A' demo symbol on the pale green Parlophone label.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
