The Modfather went back to his Northern Soul roots in some style on this single, recorded with artist Andy Lewis and released on the Acid Jazz label. The collaboration came about after Weller, an admirer of Lewis’s work, was handed some demos by Lewis at a gig. He was so impressed by the material that just two weeks later they were in the studio along with Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Cradock (unusually on drums rather than his trademark guitar) and a host of other Weller collaborators for this brilliant recording.
