Description

Spivey 1028, “The Art of Andy Story” from about 1981. The original white-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The jacket is about like new and still in the shrink wrap with solid seams, negligible corner wear, and no bends. There is one cameo with the late Victoria Spivey, as was the custom on this label. Musicians include Story, Jerry Dugger, and Johnny Allen on the main tracks. Songs are “Blue Shadows Falling”, “Man or Mouse”, “The Sky Is Crying”, “Things That I Used to Do”, “Andy’s Natural Blues”, “Stormy Monday”, and “Saga of the Black Snake Blues”, the last with Victoria. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
