ANDY WARHOL COVER ART: MADRIGAL'S SPANISH 1 & 2 - SUPER RARE 1953 - TWO LPs

Rarest of all the Warhol covers - vibrant color!

Excellent condition considering these are PAPER jackets - NOT cardboard

Were issued by mail order only for a short time - published in 1951 and 1953

No foxing, tape, or stickers - nothing has affected the art work.

Condition:

Most records visually graded- minimal cleaning if any at all.  

RECORD #1

Record: still in original brown inner sleeve VG+(7) / VG++(8) (few paper scuffs)

Cover: VG(6) all pictures on front and back are immaculate - but there appear to be 6-5 small tears on right edge, splits on bottom, and spine has a 6-7" tear from other records stuffed into the sleeve - light ringwear on back top- please see photos

Record: VG++(8) few paper scuffs - in original brown inner sleeve

Cover: VG+(7) front and back covers with picture are clean - there are approx 5 small tears on right edge but nothing major - no writing, tape, tags, or foxing - please see photos.

*Please let me know if you need more photos / details.  I tried to document the condition as accurately and thoroughly as possible.  

Grading:

Mint-...(minus)...[NM 9]...A great record, only a few light marks or scuffs, high gloss, very clean, just like it came from the record store. 

[VG++8] [VG+ 7]...Used and played, but not abused.  light scratches and/or paper scuffs.  Labels are very clean.  The record plays with very minimal surface noise.  A very collectable condition. 

[VG 6]...A nice record, but looks a little more used and played.  Light scratches and scrapes, still plays well, but with a bit more surface and background noise.  The labels are showing ring wear, and possibly a few tears, etc.

[VG- 5]...(minus)...Very used, a bit rough, but still plays through without skipping.  Background noise is noticeable.  Good enough to fill the gap in your collection until a better copy comes along. 

[G 4]...Good enough for the juke box.  Plays through but probably has a skip or two, and one or two fairly deep scratches.  The label will look very well used.
