Rare Original 1955 Pressing Of Count Basie's Selftitled First Album.
On RCA Victor Records Usa, Mono "LPM 1112".
Record: VG++ To Near Mint, Still Very Glossy And New Looking, Just A Few Very Very Light And Small Hair-Thin Marks. A Really Nice Copy, I Originally Bought It Just For The Condition Of The Record.
Cover: Very Good, Only Very Light Wear, No Cuts Holes Handwriting Or Prominent Marks, Great For Framing. The Top And Bottom Seams Are Just Starting To Split (At The Top Right And The Bottom Right Corners). Pictures 1 & 2 Show The Top And Bottom Of The Front Cover (My Scanner Is Too Small For Album Covers) And Picture 3 Is The Back.
Notes: Andy Warhol Moved To New York City In 1949 And Quickly Became A Sucessful Commercial Artist, Doing Illustrations And Designs For Magazines And Phonograph Records. It Was Not Until 1962 That Warhol Would Find International Fame After Creating His Campbell Soup Can Art. This Album Recently Sold On Ebay For $300 But It Was A Set Sale Listing (With Buy-It-Now Price) And Might Have Gone Higher If Listed For Auction.
