Description
Up for auction is a copy of Andy Warhol’s Index Book, published in 1967 by Random House, a first softback edition. All inserts seem to be intact, and are as follows:
Accordion complete, but no longer producing sound
Pop-up plane still attached & working
Chelsea Girls disc still attached
Dodecahedron complete & attached via string
Velvet Underground flexi still attached & presumably unplayed (centre hole unpunched!)
Fold-out nose complete
Pop-up tomato paste can complete & working
All eight stamps still present
Balloon has perished & has stuck two pages together, but is presumably still in there….somewhere.
Condition is generally very good, though the binding is loose in places due to the nature of the inserts, and there is some minor rubbing to the silver cover design (a price sticker seems to have been removed on the top right of the front cover).
I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale.
