Originally released in 1975 on Alegre Records, Sabor is a one-of-a-kind salsa album that made Angel Canales a star and is cherished to this day as an Afro-Caribbean classic! Canales introduces his players one by one on opening cut “Sabor Los Rumberos Nuevos,” waxes poetic about his nostalgia for Puerto Rico on the mega hit “Lejos De Ti” and sings about a colorful Nuyorican character on the simmering “Perico Macona.”
