Rev. Lawrence Roberts once again in answer to many requests tells another of his famous song stories to the great hymn "God Is Moving." It is a timely and moving recitation regarding today's youth. Delores (Bootsie Roberts sings two great selections in her own distinctively tender style, "Abraham, Martin and John" and
"Motherless Child." The great Connie Pitts recreates her soulful hit "Farther Along." The exciting Gert Hicks and her rendition of "Making A Way" is powerfully pulsating and featured also along with Rev. Roberts is Freeman Johnson who does "God Is Standing By." All aided dynamically by the sensuous Angelic Choir.
Truly then this is an album to stimulate and satisfy the soul.
This album is humbly dedicated as Rev. Lawrence Roberts indi cates in the selection "Nearer My God To Thee to Mr. Herman Lubinsky, President and Founder of Savoy Record Co. because of his sincere dedication to the cause of Gospel and for all the help and guidance he has been to many Gospel artists. Because of his vision, many of today's greatest artists have risen to their present status. Mr. Lubinsky as a youngster was once very deeply moved by the above selection and it has become very dear to his heart. As his favorite slogan in the face of all adversities has always been the great champion Joe Louis quotation "God is On My Side," it is easy to understand his closeness to the hymn "Nearer My God to Thee."
