Description
ANGRY RED PLANET was a 3-piece band from Detroit that got together in 1982. They got more attention in Europe than in the U.S.A. Their first album was licensed in Germany in 1987 (“Little Pigs, Little Pigs” – but without the elusive silk screened cover the original pressing had) and their German label, Double A Records also released a so-so live album with recordings of the band's popular 1988 European Tour.
Like so many punk bands, ANGRY RED PLANET developed a twisted, noisy sound by the end of the 80s, when rock music seemed to be a dying brand. On this record, ARP's first EP, 1983's"Too much Knowledge Can Be Dangerous", ANGRY RED PLANET was still a hardcore, no-frills punk band. Two songs have a feeling typical of Detroit punkers, trashy-sounding guitar riffs, short but melodic solos and a total down-beat feel. The other two tracks are faster, catchier thrashers. “Mummy From Hollywood”, the mandatory anti-Reagan song and “You’re One Too”, which starts off with a riff very similar to the Angry Samoans' “Gas Chamber”.
This EP is very good, an overlooked classic of Detroit punk. Give this one several listens and you will get the feeling. This band is overdue for recognition.

Side B is listed as Side AA on label and backcover.
Due to a printing mistake of the A-side label a new label has been stucked on A-side label which differs significantly in color from B-side label. Original label listed B-Side song "You´re One Too" again instead of "Mummy from Hollywood". Total of 300 were made this way, before the mistake was noticed and corrected.
This is one of the re-labeled records, with a replacement label atop the misprinted label.
The picture sleeve is in excellent condition, with little evidence of passing time other than some curling at the corners. There are no marks, scuffing or record wear. The record is in mint condition, with no evidence of scratches or scuffing. The labels are pristine, without marks or wear. This item comes from a smoke-free home, and will be sent in secure packaging.

Shipping is offered to USA addresses, ONLY. International shipping is available, by
Request, and at the associated additional cost to buyer, based on actual rate. Items will be
sent MEDIA MAIL, with delivery confirmation requested. I am always willing to combine
shipping costs. In those cases, please wait until I send your invoice for the correct amount
to remit. If you would like to bid and are overseas, please contact me for a quote on the
shipping costs first. It is no trouble to calculate the cost of shipping anywhere, within reason.
I am willing to ship internationally within reason, although every case will be determined upon
request . Postage will be determined by distance and weight. International shipping rates will
be offered on request.
