Description

Up for auction is a very nice copy of Anita O'Day's 1956 album, "An Evening With Anita O'Day" on Norgran Records (MG N-1057).  This is an original Deep Groove MONO pressing.  If you haven't heard this record in Mono, you haven't heard this record.  Instead of giving you easily misunderstood and arbitrary valuations of the record, I will describe the condition to you to the best of my ability as a record collector for 30 years.  The front cover is in excellent shape faintest rubbing line near the top, and even less on the bottom (see photo).  The back cover is also in excellent condition, bone white, no discoloration, and only the faintest hint of ring wear (see photo).  The seams are not split anywhere.  The are tight and intact, with no chipping, cracks or losses.  The corners are sharp and virtually unabraded.  It's hard to find a copy of this jacket in such nice condition.  The vinyl looks nice, too, with the original sheen still present.  There are some superficial paper scuffs and a few light needle marks on both sides, but nothing that sets off any alarms bells.  I could not see any marks around the spindle hole, which would suggest not a lot of previous playing.  Overall, a nicely preserved copy of this early Norgran jazz vocal recording.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  Free shipping with tracking to customers in the U.S.A.
