Anne Byrne – Come By The Hills

Anne Byrne is a Irish Traditional singer from Dun Laoghaire. She first came to prominence at the Abbey Tavern in Howth. She recorded two LPs for EMI's Waverley label in the late 60s. She married guitarist Paddy Roche (of The Ludlows) and the two emigrated to the USA where they performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival in 1969 and played the folk clubs for a couple of years. They returned to Ireland on the birth of their first child in 1971. Anne released two albums on Hawk Records during 1973-74 but chose to retire from performance to raise a family. Her records are highly regarded.

Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few marks and plays with the odd click/crackle here and there worst near the end of track two which has nine loudish clicks but it doesn’t really spoil your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few marks and plays with the odd click/crackle here and there but nothing that really spoil your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks).
Cover (front laminated): very good (a few laminate creases mainly around the edges, a few light creases, light aging/small stains on back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
