Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 UK albums that I have collected over a period of more than 45 years! One of the earliest 1st UK pressing of Annie Haslam's 1972 Annie In Wonderland on the Warner Brothers labels. Purchased from new and I don't ever recall ever playing this album when I originally purchased it. The vinyl certainly looks like it has never been played in my opinion. Features the earliest A-1 B-1 Matrix endings and the Master pressers signatured hand etched on both sides (Only 1st UK press) This album is complete with the original 1st issue Robor printed gate fold cover! The audio is truly stunning through out! The audio is graded at Near Mint in my opinion! No loud constant clicks or pops!

It was produced by the multi-talented Roy Wood, who also wrote some of the material, arranged all the songs, played nearly all of the instruments (including an uncredited lead vocal on "I Never Believed in Love"), and illustrated the cover. The album features a range of musical styles enabling Haslam to experiment with vocal styles outside the ethos of Renaissance.
The range for which Haslam is well-known is still apparent, however, especially in the showcase number "Rockalise". The album peaked at No. 167 on the Billboard "pop albums" chart.
Annie in Wonderland was originally released in a gatefold sleeve featuring original artwork by Roy Wood.
Many of John Tenniel's characters from Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland appear, in particular the Knave of Hearts (as a teddy boy), the March Hare (as a football supporter), and the caterpillar (as Wood himself) - the caricatures are reasonably faithful to the original illustrations.
The interior features photographs of the performers, friends and family as well as the track listing and credits.

The Vinyl
On initial inspection this looks awesome super original glossy sheen from new still retained a beautiful looking vinyl! The vinyl is free of any warping and lays perfectly flat on the turntable.. Note: I have double checked this. In strong light only could possibly very few surface marks possibly be seen (sleeve removal only)! Which have very little if (no) effect on the awesome playback as I heard it.
The Audio
I have played this through track for track on a top system at very loud volume! The audio is awesome Top sounding on all frequencies! Super Super seperation! THIS IS EXCEPTIONAL AUDIO LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED BEFORE! Must be Near Mint in my opinion!

Please note!I always add this disclaimer. It is easy to be critical about these 70s pressings especially the fact that there are so many many quiet tracks!,, Please allow for some light static /crackle/ticks (not) consistant throughout the audio! ,Although I never heard any major problems ,Please remember that this is a 38 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 38 year old system!
A constant clean is recomended before each play. This vinyl has been stored in a case for at least 30 years or more laying dormant! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static crackle\ticks and constant cleaning reduces this!!
The labels
These feature the original Custom 'Warner Brothers' labels in superbe condition! Amazingly No spider traces can be seen when angled to the light. (This looks like it has never been played in my opinion,, at least a minimal amount of times only. This certainly has not been overplayed! Little if (no) spindleware the hole is perfectly round!
The Record Sleeve
This is plain white paper record sleeve with no splits or tares light fading/staining creasing with age only! The vinyl is now always stored separately from the cover and sleeve.
The Cover
This is the original 1st issued un-laminated Robor Limited printed cover!! In awesome condition (rarely seen like this!(no) nasty marks , or edge tares! No real creases SUPERBE SPINE! ! Please note! Any storage ware or rubbing at the edges you would have to look for to notice any but I can't see any. Must grade at least Excellent plus to near mint!
