Description
One of the rarest Dylan LPs! Columbia CL 2193. Two eye EMBOSSED and textured label. The center of the Columbia label is EMBOSSED and raised (bas relief style) with a repeating pattern of the Columbia eye logo. Purportedly Columbia made only a handful of copies of this experimental label. Sources say this label was also used for a Barbra Streisand LP. Produced in very small quantities estimated by online sources to be as little as 100 or 200.
The LP cover is for the MONO release and the LP label carries the CL 2193 catalog number though it doesn't state MONO. That is par for the course for other copies I have found images of.
Condition wise the cover is pretty clean with some mild dustiness, ink marks and small smudges and a bit of tearing to the cover stock along the top edge.
The condition of the vinyl is deplorable! It will probably play OK, but the vinyl shows a very large amount of play wear and some light scratches. A well played LP....but you're not buying this copy to put on the turntable!
A copy in great shape sold last year for $2,000. This copy is nowhere near that nice, but Hey! It's a copy!
All LPs are graded BY EYE. None have been play graded! I have been collecting and selling LPs for over 40 years, and have sold many on Amazon, eBay and at Northern California Record Shows. I can't claim to be perfect when grading, but overall, I have had few complaints. Generally I don't bother with records unless they appear quite clean!
This will be shipped with vinyl removed from the sleeve, in a oversized cardboard box with some bubble wrap protection. It will be sent via Priority Rate Mail and will be tracked and you will have to sign for it..
