Box Sets Title: Anthology of Hungarian Folk Music - Volumes I, II & IV
Details: Highly Collectable boxed sets. 3 Boxed Sets each containing 5 LPs - I understand these are part of a Collection of 5 or 6 Boxed Sets issued by the Muswicological Institute of The Hungarian Academy of Scviences. Each Box also contains a large 44 - 64 page booklet, written in "Hungarian" and English - giving extensive details on the recordings and the lyrics to each song.
The recordings were collected throughout the 20th Century and the Series was edited by Dr Zoltan Falvy. Box I is entitled Dance Music. Box II is Music From The North Dialects and Box IV is Dialects from The Great Hungarian Plain & The Tisza Region. Each Box appears to have been released in different years.

TRACKS: I have not detailed the titles as there are so many. Each LP appears to have around 20 - 30 songs / tunes on each side, making a total of around 250 songs / tunes in each Box set or around 750 songs / tunes in the 3 box sets. The booklets detail not only all the lyrics but also the names of the performers, their age, occupation, the year they were recorded and the collector who made the recordings. Some of the performers have also made remarks about the songs they performed. All this and a whole lot more. FABULOUS.
