This is part of a large collection of 1960s US jazz LPs recently purchased from an English jazz fan who was lucky enough to work in New York between 1961 and 1968. The overall condition is uniformally Excellent to Near Mint, with some barely played, and all of them carefully stored, albeit in a smoker's home, for the last 45+ years. Please watch out for more great jazz collectables to be auctioned over the next weeks.

Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.

CONDITION:

VINYL EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT The heavyweight black vinyl is beautifully clean and bright with light signs of play on both sides, including a long curved mark on Side One - this is very shallow and inaudible on my deck, and overall the sound reproduction is EXCELLENT throughout. The paper labels are clean with minor spindle wear.

The record will be sent in a new polylined inner sleeve along with its original Blue Note inner bag, which shows typical light creasing, discolouration and mild staining.

SLEEVE EXCELLENT The heavyweight sleeve is clean with typical 46 year old creamy discolouration from its original pristine white and light shelfwear on the two bottom corners. The pasted white back cover also has typical age discolouration and signs of handling along the opening edge. The spine is complete with fully readable printing and there are no seam splits, folds or tears, nor is there any handwriting.

AN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL 1960s US MONO EXAMPLE OF THIS BLUE NOTE RARITY.

ABOUT THIS ITEM:

Any item selling for £41 OR OVER will only be posted by signed for, fully insured and trackable UK mail or international airmail WITH NO EXCEPTIONS - please look at the P&P costs listed below before you bid. If you are thinking of paying over £41 for this item but are not prepared to pay the insured postage rate then PLEASE DO NOT BID FOR THIS RECORD.

All vinyl is strictly graded using the Record Collector RRPG system.

All of my listings come with a 100% FULL REFUND GUARANTEE if you are not totally satisfied with your purchase.

All photographs are of the actual item listed above.

This item is listed with NO RESERVE for 10 days ending at around 22.09 BST on Sunday 3 April 2011.

THERE IS NO 'BUY IT NOW' PRICE.

I always let my auctions run their full course, so please do not contact me asking if this item can be sold early. Live a little, enjoy the giddy thrill of bidding.

BIDDERS WITH ZERO (0) FEEDBACK: We all need to start somewhere but, due to an unacceptably high proportion of phantom U.S. non-payers, I would ask all zero feedback potential buyers to EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING. Any bids received from zero feedback buyers who have not contacted me prior to bidding will be immediately deleted.

PLEASE WAIT FOR ME TO INVOICE YOU BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PAYMENT, especially if you have bought more than one item - you will be entitled to a postage discount for multiple purchases.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR PAYMENT WITHIN 48 HOURS of receiving your invoice. If you will be unable to pay within 48 hours then please contact me BEFORE YOU BID - communication is everything.

PAYMENT WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN UK STERLING. PayPal is my preferred method of payment. I am happy to accept most credit or debit cards (sorry, not American Express) or UK sterling Postal or Money Orders. I only accept UK personal cheques for £10 or over (and only with your bank guarantee card details written on the back - your cheque will be returned if this information is not given), but please bear in mind that cheques can take up to ten working days to clear and so will delay despatch. I cannot accept cash payments unless they are offered in person upon collection or delivery.

If your cleared payment is received before 16.00 UK time Monday to Friday I will endeavour to despatch your item on that same day. Items paid for after 16.00 will be posted within 24 hours, with weekend and Bank Holiday purchases despatched on the next working week day.

Certificates Of Posting are obtained for all despatches, without exception, and copies can be emailed to buyers as proof of postage if requested.

Positive feedback will be left as soon as buyers show their own satisfaction with the transaction.

POSTAGE & PACKING DETAILS:

This item and its protective cardboard packaging weighs under 640g. The post and packing charges are:

Items selling for under £41:

UK - Royal Mail 1st Class - £3.45

Europe - Airmail - £5.31

Rest Of World* - Airmail - £9.11

Items selling for £41 or over:

*Please click on the Postage & Payments tab for my excluded worldwide postal destinations.

Prices include both the Royal Mail postage fee and 70p towards my packaging costs.

All records will be removed from their outer sleeves, and then placed in a new polythene sleeve, before being carefully packed WITH FOUR CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong new Covers 33 mailers (although I do try to re-use good quality heavyweight packaging whenever practical). Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.

I CAN ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ITEMS THAT MAY BE LOST OR DAMAGED IN THE POST

I always strongly recommend that you select the insured option for postage irrespective of the value of the contents. Naturally, I will happily provide buyers with any necessary paperwork in the event of them having to make a claim against Royal Mail, but if you do not select the insured option, and your parcel is damaged or goes missing in the post, then you will not be entitled to any compensation, it's that simple.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Please do not ask me to send expensive items by the cheapest service available as I will not do so. Bitter experience has taught me that it is a nightmare to resolve to everyone's satisfaction if the postal service lets us down. If you are not prepared to pay for the correct postal service then PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM.

ABOUT ME:

If you haven't done business with me before my name is ANDY HIBBERD. I am based in England and own a real, old-fashioned record shop called 101 COLLECTORS RECORDS in Farnham, on the Surrey/Hampshire borders, about one hour out of central London.

I am proud to be a TOP RATED EBAY SELLER with a 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK HISTORY and over 1,080 SATISFIED ONLINE CUSTOMERS.

I deal in old and collectable records, CDs, DVDs and music memorabilia in most genres, as well as new vinyl and CD releases and re-issues. 95% of my business is done in the shop, with my eBay sales offering just a, hopefully tantalising, taste of my overall stock. Please feel free to get in touch if you need any further information about this item, if you have any questions about what's currently in stock, or if you need any advice about selling a collection.

I can be contacted on 01252 734409 between 10am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.

I am always happy to receive your Wants Lists, but I sometimes file them carefully under bits of paper, which are in turn under slightly larger pieces of paper, that aren't always where I thought I had left them. This could be blamed on incompetence on my part, but I prefer to blame it on the pixies that clearly infest my shop and move things about after I have gone home, the little bastards. However, I will do my very best to find what you want a) immediately, b) the day after you have found it elsewhere, or c) about a year after you have quite frankly lost the will to live.

That said, I do appreciate your interest in this listing. If you are thinking of bidding, please make sure that you have read the description and P&P costs carefully, and take the time to look at my Returns Policy. Also, please check out my Feedback comments and past sales - I am not an anonymous internet seller but a responsible (pixies permitting) and contactable UK record dealer.

Thank you.

Andy
