APOLLONIA 6 '84 Genuine Acetate LP With PRINCE's Manic Monday

This is an incredibly rare 12" metal acetate of the 1984 self-titled "Apollonia 6" LP on Warner Brothers Records.
This an EARLY VERSION of the album which includes "Manic Monday", which was written by PRINCE, who can be heard on backing vocals. Prince also produced the LP and apparently, shortly before its release, he decided to take "Manic Monday" off the album. It was replaced with "Happy Birthday Mr. Christian". However, a small number of advance cassettes were distributed before the change.
(## 'Manic Monday' on this acetate sounds much better than any version of
bootleg copies circulating, I guarantee.)
These occasionally are offered for sale, but rarely (if ever) has the LP version been offered.
Acetates are extremely rare. They are made for testing purposes only, usually in quantities of 1 to 10.
"Manic Monday" was resurrected by Prince in 1986 when he was allegedly trying to court Susanna Hoffs, lead singer of the Bangles.
He offered the song to the group who recorded their version, which became the group's first hit, reaching number 2 in the charts ("Kiss" by Prince was number 1).
The acetate has a couple of slight tears at the edge of the Side Two label and a couple of inaudible scuff marks, but looks perfectly fine !
Throughout It looks and plays great!!
It's included in its original generic white cover which has album info written on it (EX ).
