ARC ... at this - 1971 LP
Marvellous album. Rarely available. It typically crops up only 2 or 3 times a year on eBay. This copy is in great condition. The vinyl has no scratches or significant defects and plays well. One owner only - me, so I know it's history. The Decca label is in perfect condition and the inner sleeve is also the Decca original. The record sleeve is in good nick. It does have some creasing in two corners but these do not detract from the sleeve's overall good condition (the photo in the listing shows this clearly but under normal light, it hardly notices). There is also some 'ringing' on the front cover due to being stored in a large record collection over many years. Hard to believe but this record is now 40 years' old and this has to be a very good copy. Decca cat. no: SKL-R 5077.
As for the music - it's breath-takingly good. I've always preferred side two, which is probably more direct. The band features Mickey Gallagher (Piano, organ, guitar & vocals) and John Turnbull (Guitars, percussion and vocals), who both found fame in The Blockheads, backing Ian Dury. Arc followed on from the legendary Skip Bifferty, in which Gallagher and Turnbull both featured. Australian David Montgomery (Drums & percussion) and Tom Duffy (Bass & vocals) complete the line-up.

This is a really great album - and very collectible: the top price this LP has achieved on eBay is £225
