Argo Transacord LP: The Knotty a musical documentary
A musical documentary about the great days of the railways and particularly the North Staffordshire Railway, 'The Knotty'; from the stage coach era of the 1820's, to the amalgamation of 1923.
Adapted from Peter Cheeseman's 1969 production of The Knotty for the Victoria Theatre, Stoke On Trent; with the cast of the Victoria Theatre and the voices of railwaymen who worked on the North Staffordshire Railway.
Based on information from historical research by Peter Terson and originally created in 1966, by the Victoria Theatre Company under the direction of Peter Cheeseman.
Performed by the cast of the Victoria Theatre, Stoke-On-Trent: Christopher Bond, Abjula Harman, Jeff Parton, Gillian Brown, Geoffrey Larder, Ann Raitt, Alan David, Christopher Martin, Susan Tracy, Arthur Whybrow and Brian Young
with the voices of Fred Adams, passenger guard and Charles Edward Dawson, engine driver; both of whom worked on the N.S.R.

This is part of a superb large collection built up by an enthusiast.
The condition is lovely - discs look barely played - all are Ex+ to Near Mint. Sleeves are crisp and shiny with nice crisp corners.
The previous owner wrote some numbers in biro by the catalogue number at the top right corner on the back of the sleeve (giving each one an 'RR' number and cross-referencing the Argo DA numbers with their TR number, so, for example, The Great Western DA 39 has 'RR 19' and '(TR 117)' added in pen on the rear of the sleeve). Apart from this, these records are just about the best condition you could hope to find.
