Note : musica e direzione orchestrale di Armando Trovaioli. Sono presenti I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni. Piacevolissima colonna sonora con la particolare caratteristica di essere quasi totalmente basata su musica beat, nonostante che il film sia ambientato nella Firenze del Rinascimento. Elettrizzanti ritmi ballabili tipici degli anni 60, eseguiti

da ottimi musicisti come Antonello Vannucchi – tastiere e Hammond – e Carlo Pes alla chitarra, sono alternati da ballate folk-beat cantate dal coro di Alessandroni. Tra i brani : " QUANT'E' BELLA GIOVINEZZA ", una poesia scritta da Lorenzo de’ Medici nel XV° secolo, deliziosamente trasformata in una simpaticissima versione da juke box, “ ADREMELEK “ e “ MOTO PERPETUO “, due eccitanti brani ballabili condotti da uno scatenato Hammond  nella prima e da un ripetitivo giro di chitarra nella seconda. Infine “ MADDALENA “, sia nella versione vocale che strumentale, caratterizzata da una dolce atmosfera romantica e paragonata a “ Yesterday “ di Lennon-McCartney nelle note critiche sul retrocopertina. 11 brani.

Notes : music and orchestra Armando Trovaioli.  A very nice and surprising score. Although the film plot is set in the Florence of 1478 the tracks are mainly based on beat sound. Exciting dance tunes supported by the typical sound of the sixties – with the presence of excellent musicians such as Antonello Vannucchi on keyboards and Hammond and Carlo Pes on guitar – are alternated by pleasant folk-beat ballads sung by I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni. Among the tunes : " QUANT'E' BELLA GIOVINEZZA ", a poem written by Lorenzo de' Medici in the fifteenth century, delightfully transformed in a nice juke box version, two exciting dance tunes : " ADREMELEK ", underlined by a killer Hammond and " MOTO PERPETUO " characterized by a repetitive time of guitar. At last " MADDALENA " – whether on vocal or on instrumental version, plenty of sweet and romantic atmospheres and compared to Lennon-McCartney’s " Yesterday " by the compiler of the footnote on the back cover.  11 tracks.

Una divertente commedia prodotta da Mario Cecchi Gori e diretta da Ettore Scola, con Vittorio Gassman, Claudine Auger e Mickey Rooney.
