Condition : laminated cover on both sides shows some creases in particular in the front, EX / vinyl has a few light scuffs not revealing any flaw to listening. However, the low quality of the vinyl, often an unhappy characteristic of Cam in the first half of the sixties, produces a bit of mild background noise, EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : nonostante il film sia diviso in due episodi, "La Violenza" e "L'amore", ciascuno con un cast differente, le caratteristiche drammatiche intrise di cupo pessimismo sono ad entrambi comuni. Così avviene per le musiche di Trovajoli dove nelle quindici tracce strumentali prevalgono atmosfere sonore piene di tensione ed angoscia. Ricordo "Terror" (a1) carico di suspence con suoni affilati come coltelli e "A Frightening experience" (b2) tema adatto anche per film horror con alcuni rintocchi di campana che aumentano la sensazione di paura. Non mancano tuttavia alcuni brani che escono da questo schema. In particolare "In a Tender Mood" (a7): graziosa bossa con Hammond ben supportato da chitarra e basso e "Just a Break" (b5) tema allegro guidato dagli strumenti a fiato. Infine segnalo "Carelesslly" (a6), blues lento caratterizzato da un assolo di tromba.

Notes : though the film is divided into two episodes, "Violenza (The Violence)" and "L’Amore (Love)", each with a different cast, dramatic features drenched in dark pessimism are common to both. So happens for the music by Trovajoli where in fifteen instrumental tracks prevail sound atmospheres full of tension and emotional distress. I remember "Terror" (a1) full of suspense with sonorities which seem to be sharp as knives and "A Frightening experience" (b2) also suitable for a horror movie with some bell tolls increasing the sensation of fear. However, there are some tracks coming out of this pattern. Especially "In a Tender Mood" (a7): pretty bossa with Hammond well supported by guitar and bass and "Just a Break" (b5) cheerful theme led by wind instruments. Finally I mention "Carelesslly" (a6), slow blues featuring a trumpet solo.
