Description

Arnold Dreyblatt and the Orchestra of Excited Strings , propellors in love. The music is minimalist in nature and veers between classical and jazz. The following description is from Discogs, "Recorded at the Black Box, München. Produced by Künstlerhaus Bethanien GmbH, Berlin, in co-operation with Gasteig Betriebsgesselschaft mbH, München. The string instruments perform all in a "just" microtonal tuning system derived from the natural overtone series. The Contrabass Bodies are strung with unwound steel wire and are struck by bass bows. The Miniature Pianoforte has been rescaled and has feltless hammers and no dampers. The instruments are amplified and mixed in performance. The musicians have participated in the development of these pieces during a one-year "workshop" period at Künstlerhaus Bethanien." The 12" german pressed 33 RPM LP is visually graded NM with minimal evidence of play. Jacket has light ring and shelf wear graded VG+.
