Description
Single sided 45 rpm promotional disc from Audiophile Record Service, Hamburg, Germany, produced by Jörg Kessler and mastered by Joachim Hinsch. Dated March 25, 1996. Pressed in Germany by Teldec, on heavy 180g vinyl. I believe that this was a very limited pressing, used for promotional purposes at audio shows.
Ludwig Streicher, contrabass, and Norman Shetler, piano, play two works by Giovanni Bottesini. See pics for details. The original issue of this recording, long prized by audiophiles, was on Telefunken Records 6.43320, which is a great record, but this takes it to a whole new level.
Disc is NM, white jacket with company sticker is VG++
The sound on this is simply astounding. One not to be missed.
