Up for auction is an incredibly rare recording.  Less than 2,000 originally pressed!
Released in 1981 - 38 years ago! - this beautiful copy has remained sealed since then.  If you are a classical music lover or an audiophile with a high-end stereo system you'll want to add this vinyl record of one of the finest chamber music recordings ever made to your collection.  A reference quality recording that is rarely ever available for sale.  Finding a sealed copy almost 40 years after release is virtually unheard of.
For those who aren't familiar, this recording was produced for demonstration by Timegate Speakers in 1981.  An all-star team came together for its production.  Mark Levinson provided most of the recording equipment.  Famed engineer Peter McGrath did the actual recording.  Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk cut the masters, and the pressing was done by Europadisc on the finest Teldec vinyl.  

This acclaimed audiophile recording of Bach’s Brandenburgs on the Timegate label lists on Arthur Salvatore’s Supreme Recordings as Divinity -- his highest category. Salvatore states, "This may be the finest recording of any type, but I hesitate to say that because it is pointless and unfair to compare a recording of a large orchestra with a small, intimate chamber group. All I can say is that I have never heard any recording that is even more immediate and 'alive'sounding. The inner detail, harmonic structure and dynamic shading are also unsurpassed."  This record was later heralded by TAS (The Absolute Sound).

Condition of vinyl - As it is still sealed, assumed to be mint
Condition of cover - Excellent.  There is some minor abrasion/wear along the top front of the cover - see pictures 3 & 4.  The shrink is open for about 1 inch at the bottom right corner and there is some minor edge wear in that area.
