ART BLAKEY QUINTET A Night At Birdland Vol.1 Blue Note BLP 1521 1st Pressing 1956 Deep Groove RVG

  You're bidding on a Rare 1st 12" Pressing of the classic album A Night At Birdland With The Art Blakey Quintet 
 Vol.1 issued in Mono by Blue Note Records BLP 1521 in July, 1956. The 1st 12" Pressing of Vol.1 featured a 
 purple cover with a photo of Art Blakey. Later pressings reverted back to the original cover artwork featured on the
 3 Volumes of this material issued on 10" LP's in 1954. This LP has all the earmarks of a true 12" 1st Pressing: 
 thick, heavy, flat edged vinyl with a Deep Groove Label with the 767 Lexington Ave. NYC address, a hand etched
 RVG  and a machine stamped P for Plastylite ( mistakenly referred to as a ear ) along with the hand etched matrix
 number BN-LP-1521-A.(or B.) and 9M. The Jacket has no address on the back cover and no writing on the spine.
    The LP is in VG+ condition with a few surface lines and marks but plays in Excellent condition with No pops,
  surface noise or groove wear distortion of any kind. It sounds fantastic.  The Cover is in VG condition with small 
 tears on the front opening, a 1/2" split beginning at the bottom right hand side, light dirt on the front and back, rub
 marks on the back cover and some small tears and creases in the middle of the right edge of the back cover slick.
