Up for your consideration is "Africaine," by Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in it's original Blue Note incarnation on Blue Note LT-1088. Recorded on November 10, 1959, this is the first record date for Wayne Shorter with Blakey, and also features Lee Morgan, Walter Davis and Jymie Merritt. Please see the pics for label.
