ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS - AU CLUB ST. GERMAIN- COLLECTABLE RECORD. I bought this record about 20  years ago. The concert was recorded in 1958 and  three  individual records were available in 1962. This record is vol. 2 and was the only one I came across. I enjoyed the record so much that when the full concert set became available on CD I bought It. Recently, I found a triple LP set available on HD vinyl, so this record  is superfluous. This is why I am selling it. The record is an early French issue with flip-over flaps on the rear sleeve, which I have played prior to sale on my P6/ania/Creek Evolution50/Kef LS 50 system. It shows signs of use under torch light and a couple of light scratches are visible on the vinyl which still has a nice sheen. These marks do not detract from the music, the record plays perfectly and  sounds very good, probably due to the quality of the vinyl of that period. I would grade the vinyl  VG+ and the cover as VG. It runs perfectly flat and the concert is extremely well recorded. For me it is one of Blakeys  best.I have used the Goldmine Standard for grading. The sleeve is worn along the bottom and side edges, but there are no splits or cuts.
