This is the First Pressing, “RVG STEREO” stamped, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS’ “The Big Beat” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BST 84029. Musicians include Art Blakey – drums, Lee Morgan – trumpet, Wayne Shorter – tenor saxophone, Bobby Timmons – piano, Jymie Merritt – bass.

Deep Groove VINYL plays with consistent light to medium loud surface noise, aka static, opening both sides, which dissipates as the side plays. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Good gloss. A handful of non-feelable hairline marks. The Deep Groove (one side) The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in good shape, some fading, corners very worn. Seams and spine in excellent shape, small 2” split on top seam at opening. Laminate has good gloss. Back jacket clean! Please see photos.
