ART BLAKEY and The Jazz Messengers “A Night At Birdland, Volume 1” P, RVG, DG, Blue Note BLP 1521 Mono Vinyl
This is the “RVG” etched, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, P pressing of ART BLAKEY and The Jazz Messenger’s “A Night At Birdland, Volume 1” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1521.
VINYL plays well, with consistent low level surface noise, aka Static. But as with all well played and cared for older Blue Notes, ensemble sections remain clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Low gloss. Many hairline marks, a couple feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels show wear, spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in Okay shape, some peeling visible, corners worn. Strong colors. Minor ringwear. Spine is very good, top seam shows cracking, bottom seam very good. Back jacket shows ringwear, stains. Please see photos.
