Offered for auction is a scarce original issue French import of the Art Ensemble's People in Sorrow.

I am the original owner having purchased the LP in 1971 or 1972.  The plastic has never been opened and the LP is in new condition.  The loose shrink wrap (which was the custom then for imported LPs) has a tear at the front left.  The tear is not of sufficinet size to remove the record.  Otherwise the record and cover are in perfectly new condition.   

This LP was recorded in July of 1969.  

At that time, the Art Ensemble of Chicago consisted of Lester Bowie, Roscoe Mitchell, Joseph Jarman and Malachi Favors.

Here is your chance to own and uncork a classic original.  Don't pass on it.

There are no cutout marks, splits or writing on the cover.

Records (other than those sold in sealed condition) are removed from their jackets to protect against seam damage and kept in their sleeves.

HOW WE GRADE OUR RECORDS
SS / Still Sealed : factory sealed, any defects such a "cut-out" holes will be noted in the description       
NM / Near Mint : no notable scratches or wear, probably very rarely played  
EX+ / Excellent+ : very clean, played very little, no audible scratches
EX / Excellent : clean with light wear
VG+ / Very Good+ :  a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possible light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.     
VG / Very Good : a used well-played copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and likely surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages.       
G / Good : noisy, but plays through. I will only sell very rare or unusual items in this condition.
