Description
Goldmine Record Grading Standards under a good strong light for accurate visual grading; Play-grading will be noted. Personal notes added about condition, historical references and context, dates, and pressing detail
A really nice original New Jazz jazz pressing of an important hard-bop jazz date
art farmer quintet "Farmer's Market" with classic hardbop line-up: KENNY DREW, HANK MOBLEY, ADDISON FARMER, ELVIN JONES and a reasonable Buy Now for those who would like to own this record now
NEW JAZZ (Prestige 8203) original first U.S. pressing. . .
Vinyl: VG++ (some might argue for a near mint, but I think it just under this distinction because of some very light surface marks and a very few spindle marks on the labels; otherwise, you have a substantial weight (typical of '50s pressings) platter; super clean record here! Original gloss! Van Gelder engraved (RVG) for sound quality; bold signature sound of this New Jazz record fills the room; excellent instrumentation separation; Mobley and the blasts of Elvin Jones...superb overall playback here!!! this record is a hard -boppers dream, man!
Cover: VG ( shelf wear; seams closed but rubbed; 2-inch piece of tape on reverse topside ; as well as some paper loss in personnel list box on reverse - and in liner notes in first paragraph- some ring wear) really annoying flaws, but otherwise clean...NO writing...
Tracks: with prestige / ad-dis-un / farmer's market / reminiscing / By Myself / Wailin' with Hank........
My Shipping Practices: Records ship outside of their cover encased in a new 3-mil poly bag; ship in a NEW record mailer at 200lb test; cardboard or bubbled inserts used; all record mailer seams taped with non-rip Nylon tape; laser printed shipping and return address labels used with clear-tape-over each label for added adhesiveness; large RED 'FRAGILE' stamped front and back of mailer--overall, a professional packaging job as I would want to receive for the records I purchase....
