ULTRA RARE promo 45 with no other than Art Of Music!
Art Of Music is probably THE best Swedish prog band that you have NEVER heard!
And you have not heard them because their one and only 12" album truly is beyond rare! Their full length LP was recorded in Malmö on April 17th 1971 and it was released on the small private label Buttercup Records on May 29th 1971. All the tracks were recorded on a Tandberg 64X tape recorder in stereo - although released only in mono.
This mythical LP is highly sought after and have a cult status as one of the most important LP's of Swedish progressive music scene of the 1970´s and fetch astronomical sums when traded between advanced collectors. It´s also rated with a full blown 10* in the Swedish reference bible "Proggboken". !
HERE you are looking at something pretty awesome!
What even most advanced collectors don´t know is that,you CAN actually find Art Of Music recorded on vinyl besides their LP!! This 45 was pressed in only 100 promo copies and send out to friends and colleagues as a kind of musical Christmas greetings card! On the flip side the owner of Buttercup wishes a merry Christmas and there is a mix of music for example Graham Gaunt.
BUT..the real action is on the A side! Unique to this 45 you have a killer live jam with Art Of Music that was recorded in Malmö in april 1972! Including the self penned opening track as well as a wicked cover of "Lady Madonna" as well as "Doing The Best I Can". You can tell that the band have a good time as they talk and goof around!
Obviously most of these 100 promo copies are long gone today!
So if you want to spin Art Of Music on vinyl, here´s pretty much your only chance!!
Even the original Buttercup company sleeve is included as well!
