THE ART PEPPER QUARTET LP - On TAMPA Records, RS-1001.  Original 1950s MONO pressing, black labels with silver lettering.  FLAT EDGE, and the label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides.  Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Art Pepper/alto sax; Russ Freeman/piano; Ben Tucker/bass; Gary Frommer/drums.  The thick cardboard cover is in VG+ shape and displays nicely.  Top and bottom seam taped very discreetly.  Some gentle seam splitting at center of spine.  NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  The glossy vinyl is in VG condition with needle marks or scuffs.  Plays well - the vinyl still packs a sonic punch, and any surface sound does not overwhelm the music.  The songs are:  Art's Opus; I Surrender Dear; Diane; Pepper Pot; Besame Mucho; Blues At Twilight; Val's Pal.  Again, this is not a mint or near mint record, but it will provide enjoyment for someone who is not so fussy about condition and is happy to score a very hard to find item at a reasonable price.
