Description
Here is an unusually rare copy of ART 's SUPERNATURAL FAIRY TALES. This is an original 1967 CANADIAN first pressing on the old Stone records which was located Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Up until about 1969 this was Island records UK's Canadian distributor, and well known among collectors for their extremely rare British beat and ska discs. The label has the old Island ball logo on the Stone Black and silver style. This is a top copy of this monster rare psychedelic masterpiece from 1967. This classic and rare release from Chris Blackwell's early Island catalog was issued upon original release in only two places in the world - the UK and this original small run pressing in Canada. These hardly ever come up and this is a really nice copy. This is a moderately re-channeled MONO although it was cut with a STEREO cutting head. This disc is more rare than the original ball ISLAND UK pressing but it's a fraction of the price.

Sleeve Grading - VG+ The sleeve is nice and tight, but has some slight wear and bumped corners. No bends, no splits, no stink.
The disc is in very clean VG+/EX condition, with faint hairlines visible under bright light, but clean with full sheen. Light play and well cared for. Plays very nice and sound is solid. The Canadian pressing has been described as "Open audio, MONO split for stereo but can hardly notice whatsoever.... stays really true to a BIG bold MONO mix. Barely re-channeled. Sound is impressive." I agree. If you're searching for a gem, here is one. A great keeper collectible copy.
