"AT's DELIGHT" - - ART TAYLOR SEXTET - - BLUE NOTE BLP 4047 - - GREAT SESSION, FROM AN AWESOME SEXTET OF HARD BOP USA JAZZ GIANTS !!!! - - A superb copy of this now 49 year old original deep groove, Blue Note 1st press issue!!! - - The jacket, with excellent edges and a perfect spine has no splits or tears, but for a small scuff on the reverse right hand edge, which does not affect at all, the crisp clean sleeve notes !!! - - The disc too is a strong Excellent grading, with only very minor sleeve scuffs and plays absolutely SUPERBLY!!! - - The blue white labels are VERy clean, with the, 47 West 63rd, NYC address, DEEP GROOVED to both sides and has RVG and the ear in the dead wax !!! - - What a lineup, drummer leader Art Taylor has put together here!!!! - - Stanley Turrentine takes the tenor spot, with brilliant trumpeter, Dave Burns, completing the front line, then a rhythm section made in heaven, with the awesome Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul Chambers, bass, Patato Valdes, congas and of course Taylor on drums !!! - - 6 beautiful trax on this session, starting off with Trane's beautiful, "Syeeda's song flute", Monk's, "Epistrophy", Kenny Dorham's beautiful minor blues, "Blue interlude", plus 3 more outstanding numbers !!! - - On a 10 day auction, with no reserve as usual and a low start price - - Don't let this one get away, it is getting extremely hard to find, especially as nice a copy as this one!!! - - Thanks for your interest and good luck !!! - - £19.99
