ARTHUR DOYLE PLUS 4 - ALABAMA FEELING

1978 US AK-BA LP AK-1030 Stereo

Monster holy grail free jazz on Charles Tyler's AK-BA label - Numer 3 in Thurston Moore's "Top Ten From the Free Jazz Underground" list.

Original pressing in paste-on cover.

Recorded November 11th, 1977. Mastering engineer: Marzette Watts.

RECORD - The record has full lustre and looks NM-, with some lightest sleeve scuffs visible under strong light and a 1cm x 2cm patch of 3 or 4 small and light, wispy, non-sounding surface marks on side one. However, on side two there are some "grainy" marks just visible along the groove on very close inspection, which cause about 30 prominent crackly clicks or double-clicks on the second track. There is also some background crackle audible generally in the quieter passages.

LABELS - NM No spindle marks.

COVER - NM- The top left corner is dinged and there is a 1cm crack at the top of the spine. Also just beginning to crack at the bottom of the spine. There is a light stain in the middle of the back bottom edge (just visible in the picture). Otherwise pretty much pristine.

GRADING SCALE: NM/EX/VG/G(+/-) visual grading - not play tested unless specifically indicated above. NM is near mint not mint - I do not use M except for an unplayed record.
