ARTWOODS Art Gallery DECCA Mono 1st UK PRESS
Here we have the incredibly rare Artwoods LP, Art Gallery. This is a very first 1966 Mono UK pressing on the original Decca 'unboxed' label label. The matrix numbers are very first pressing LK 4830...XARL-7481-1A ... XARL -7482-1A. This original pressing of this very rare UK R&B album seldom comes up for sale. VACUUM MACHINE CLEANED BEFORE AUCTION.)
Vinyl: - VG+ (A very clean record with deep shine. Three or four small light scratches visible on Side.1 . Nothing more than sleeve brushings on Side.2
FULL TEST PLAY - Noted on Side.1 A small dimple in the run-in groove causes a slight bump sound for a couple of second in the intro,,track 4 a few intermittent pops, track 6 has some mild surface noise on the top end notes. Side.2 plays almost as an EX but for loud pop in 1st track a couple of times and the last track playing with the same mild background surface noise in the top notes as mentioned on Side1. FULL REFUND ON RETURN IF NOT AS EXPECTED SO PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE.)
Sleeve: - G (This can be graded as nothing more than G due to the damage on the top right corner. The poly-lined inner bag displays the same damage. The spine is still fully readable. The back is yellowed with age but reasonably good. Front has some mild creasing in the laminate but nothing major. Without the corner damage the sleeve would have been a very decent EXminus.)

GRADING ABBREV DESCRIPTION MINT M The record is as new. The cover and any inserts should be in perfect condition. EXCELLENT
PLUS EX+ The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under Bright Light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. Reserve this grade for records where you have difficulty spotting anything wrong.
The Cover and inserts are undamaged. EXCELLENT EX The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. EXCELLENT
MINUS EX- There may be fairly visible surface markings under bright light but the sound quality of the record is not adversely affected.
The Cover and inserts may have noticeable light creasing or "foxing" due to dampness but they are all present and intact. VERY GOOD VG The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite surface marks and some light scratches. Also Use this grading where the record has suffered perhaps one more visible scratch, but is otherwise in EX or better condition.
The cover may be creased a little and/or frayed at the opening. You should itemize any more serious damage such as tears.
