This is simply one of the Holy Grail items for collectors of Psych around the World and is on sooooo many Wants Lists it's just incredible!  Most collectors have given up all hope of owning an original pressing of this gem, so I fully expect LARGE bids!!!  However, the “Buy It Now” facility is there for the careful consideration of those serious collectors who want to get their hands on this gem NOW!!!

 Comprised of what was then the band URIEL, this was the earliest formation of Steve HILLAGE and Dave STEWART. The music is head and shoulders above most other psych rarities, and the four musicians later achieved marginal success within the '70s progressive rock "Canterbury scene".

The record itself features some of the most explosive psychedelia by an English group. The sound of sustained keyboard and guitar passages are full blown drawn-out psychedelia of the highest order, think EGG, GONG, NATIONAL HEALTH, CARAVAN etc. Collectors of rare psychedelia recognize ARZACHEL's sole LP as being one of the most desired relics from the late '60s.

As you'll see from the photos this is guaranteed to be the ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on Evolution. Any fan of Arzachel, Steve Hillage, Gong, Egg, the Psychedelic sound or 60s music in general, will simply have to have this in their collection!!!! 

Grade (labels): The record labels are in LOVELY condition with NO writing, NO wear and just a single extremely feint spindle mark on either side!!!  The item came from a broadcasting library and the supporting stamp on either side offers the lucky buyer an ultra-rare item with outstanding heritage!!!

Grade (vinyl): Most of these LPs had been played on a heavy stylus and so are usually found totally worn out, almost unplayable. This record, however, is strictly graded at ABSOLUTE MINT and is firmly believed to have been played just once!!!! 

Grade (sleeve): The flipback sleeve is completely free of handwriting, bends, creases or tears.  It was common practice for the broadcasting library to 'shrinkwrap' the sleeves of their LPs to protect them from shelf wear.  In the case of this sleeve, the shrink to the front - which may be removable but I haven't tried! - shows some crinkling from contraction.  The thicker back covering is fine and bears a library stamp. All in all, I would assess the sleeve as in EXCELLENT PLUS condition!!!
