Ascots – Anytime / Sometimes I Wonder – Mir-A-Don Records – Ultra Rare Northern Soul 45 – Listen! – No Reserve

Ultra Rare Washington D.C. area northern soul 45 from the Ascots on the Mir-A-Don label. Top notch two-sider with the classic “Anytime” backed with “Sometimes I Wonder”. The vinyl has considerable scuffing which doesn’t affect playback too much but there is a bad edge-warp which causes the needle to go up and down for the first 15 seconds of the track. On my Technics 1200’s the record plays and tracks without any problems or significant distortion to the sound. I use a cheap USB turntable for recording soundclips though and there is some minor distortion due to the vertical wobble on the B side “Sometimes I Wonder” for a handful of rotations (listen to the soundclip). I think this is a result of the cheaper tone-arm and counterweight on the Numark USB deck and there should be no problems with playback on another Technics 1200 deck. Listen to the soundclips.

Buyer pays all shipping and handling charges. Shipping in the US generally runs $4.00 first class mail or 1 to 3 records and $1 additional for each item added to the order. I weigh my orders and shipping is calculated accordingly.
