DVORAK.

CELLO CONCERTO IN B MINOR,OP.104

SILENT WOODS OP.68 Adagio for cello and orchestra.

JACQUELINE DU PRE - CELLO.

DANIEL BARENBOIM / CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

CONDITION.

COVER-EXCELLENT.cover is clean and complete, with light creasing to bottom corners, spine fully readable and complete as are all the edges and flipbacks, backcover is white clean with light finger aging down opening edge.

RECORD-EXCELLENT .the record plays through perfectly, to a superb sound quality, the record gives light surface noise, very occasionally a little stronger, the record gives five or six light ticks on side 2.

The record has a few light hairlines, but has a deep shine, the labels are clean and complete, showing little in the way of spindal damage or trailing.

I have played this record through 5 times, every time it has improved, getting quieter each time,it may continue to do so,however it may not.

See grading below

All records are play tested, all the way through and play perfectly unless stated.

Special note for classical vinyl.

classical vinyl by it's nature of high and low, even silent passages is not ideally suited to the vinyl surface, which is seldom quiet in its playback.however the quality of the recording on a lot of older vinyl is second to none.

Every piece of vinyl that i offer for sale has been played through by me and cleaned on my moth record cleaning machine. As much as i love listening to old classical recordings,i find many just to noisey for my liking.

What i am saying is that if i am listing it,it's the best i can get it,i will not list noisey crackle filled records however great they look.unless they are very rare.It is very easy to list lovely shiney vinyl as near mint, but it seldom is,so most i will list as excellent, acceptable to me,but not with out some surface noise from the vinyl,if of course it has none, then it is without doubt, near mint.

GRADING.

MINT-NEW

NEAR MINT-Near perfect,as good as it gets, covers, near perfect.

EXCELLENT(+).A quality playing record, not quite near mint, may have occasional light noise.covers will have minimal wear or discolouring due to age or handling.

EXCELLENT.A quality playing record, with light surface noise, the odd light pop or light tick.no passages of ticking or popping ect.many of the records listed under excellent will not have any pops or tick of mention, may not have any at all, anything that needs mentioning, will be on the listing.covers may have light edge, corner wear,or more general ageing or discolouring due to age.I will mention on the listing.

VERY GOOD(+).The record will still play to an excellent or better sound quality but will have some ticking in passages or multiple pops, again i will mention anything on the listing.covers will show there age,may have considerable ageing or discolouring do to lack or care, may have splits, tears, strong edgewear, cornerwear, ringwear and  laminate peel and lift ect.All will be mentioned on the listing.

I will only list items with a lesser grade than mentioned if very rare.

Not all records when played fall neatly into a grading catergory,so i will use my discretion when i think that a certain record requires it.for example, if a record is clearly playing near mint and has a few very light ticks, its not excellent, its better than that,so i'll down grade one level and say why on the listing.

I do not visually grade vinyl,i play grade it,clearly any markings to the vinyl surface, will have some effect in varied propotion. If however you are not completely happy with a play grade and want to know it any piece of vinyl has markings, please contact me and i will only be to happy to answer.

I will be fair and honest with record grading, however you may feel that i have it wrong,if so please contact me directly,i'm not perfect, record grading is not perfect.i would hope that a record that i am happy with someone else would be to.
