Description

Superb copy of this rare 1961 release on HMV Records (ASD 400) with its original gold and cream label design. Constantin Silvestri conducts the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of Prokofiev's Suite "The Love for Three Oranges"; Rimsky Korsakov's "Capriccio Espagnol" and Kachaturian's Ballet Suite "Gayaneh."  Truly an audio spectacular.

Condition is very good.  The sleeve is almost perfect except for a tiny scuff on the top right hand edge at the front and the tiniest little scuff at the bottom left corner.  There are no tears or seam splits and the spine is perfect.

The vinyl is in very good condition.  It is clean and glossy with no scratches, scuffs or abrasions.  There is a very minor pressing flaw about 1 cm into side one (Prokofiev) which does make a couple of soft pops and side two has some very light sticky marks where the inner sleeve has lightly stuck to it at some point.  These make gentle crackling sounds but I suspect that these could be cleaned off by a professional record cleaning machine.

By and large this is just about as good a copy of this rare record as you are likely to find.
