Description
ULTRA RARE STEREO LP
ASD 406 stereo; white and gold first label;front laminated sleeve
Brahms Symphony 3, op.90; Tragic Overture, op.81
Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Rudolf Kempe
LP : EX+ ( a few slight nsms and a very few random light ticks ......otherwise in super condition and plays very cleanly without distortion ...so actually a great copy of what is a seriously rare LP)
Sleeve : EX+ ( just slight aging marks on rear unlaminated part of sleeve......but super condition really)
Cleaned on my Keith Monks machine with both new inner and original inner ( in excellent condition) included
I am an enthusiastic collector of over 40 years experience. and with >5000 LPs to my name. I am selling some of my collection to make space for other LPs and to raise funds to pay for them! I am particular about condition and these items reflect that ....apart from in rare cases, I just don't buy (or sell )anything that is less than Ex+. I have my own Keith Monks cleaning machine and use that where necessary ( it is a wonderfully effective machine !). When i do, i use a new inner sleeve but also keep the original alongside it . If that is the case for any of the items I list, I make it clear.
I play my records on an SME 10 turntable with Lyra mono and stereo cartridges , through valve phono,.pre and power amps. Please note that that makes difference for older mono records for which I would always recommend a mono cartridge.
My grading system follows the standard approach. For me NM means sounds like a new LP that has been played very few times good equipment and with great care ; EX means there are a few signs of use but sound isn't significantly affected...that could include a record that sounds fabulous other than for a couple of clicks ; VG , as with most listings, means pretty ropey and I don't deal in those or anything below that .....I collect records to listen to music and that becomes impossible if the condition is anything other than 'eminently playable'! It is important of course to recognise that vinyl quality hasn't always been consistent and there are some early mono LPs where one has to accept a certain level of background noise and accept that that was likely present from new...that doesn't tend to bother me too much as often the performance makes it a small price to pay. There is also just the accumulated surface dust etc of ages ....and anyone playing older LPs really does need to have access to a cleaning machine if at all possible. (continued)
Everything i am selling i have played ,but not necessarily recently. My grading is a combination therefore of play grade/visual grade . It is done entirely honestly and should I ever slip in my judgement and you are not happy , then please return the item for a full refund.
I have listed post and packing at a generic average rate of £4.00 for the UK. If the item is valuable(>£50) I will send by tracked delivery for no extra cost. That way I don't lose out on p&p overall. Multiple purchases can be combined to reduce postage costs. For post outside the UK ( EU only) , please contact me to arrange cost
I don't sell outside of Europe Im afraid as Ive had a few bad experiences as both buyer and seller. If you are very keen though contact me by e mail before you bid.
